Adamdad

Adamdad is the short form of the Persian phrase "از ديد من در اين دم" which means "from my point of view at this moment". I believe: as a human being, I change my opinion about certaing things in the course of my life. I might consider something correct at a time and incorrect at another. Therefore, when I write Adamdad within a sentence, I just mean this is only my current opinion about an issue and not an everlasting fact.

Preface

A decade ago, when I came from Iran to Germany, I couldn't imagine how different and at the same time how similar Iranians and Germans are. I had heard from the Iranian poet, Sohrab Sepehri, that "there is a city behind the seas". In all these years, I found out that "there are galaxies behind the rivers" with people having their own traditions, habits, problems, concerns and all in one their cultures. In this blog, I am going to write about my experince in Germany - about the cultures of Iranians and Germans from my point of view at this moment (Adamdad).
